HOLY COW, is the only word to describe this performing cowboy from the heartland of the Midwest in America. Grant Harris has been performing for almost 10 years, traveling all across the country, in the art of poi, rope dart, snakes, fire breathing, staff, & almost anything that comes in his hands. Starting one of the first fire performing groups in Indianapolis, IN, Northern Lights Entertainment (N.L.E.), Grant has been a tremendous help to the ever growing flow arts community breaking into live performing for bars, convention centers, backyard parties, corporate events, and flow retreats. To the most recent venture of creating the first ever Southern Illinois Fire & Flow Retreat in June of 2014. Check out much more about him from the F.I.R.E. arts magazine interview with by reading it on their web site.
My name is Megan Fox. I have been familiar with the flow arts for 10 years now, although I have only started fire flow in the last 2 years. It had always been such an intriguing art- controlling fire while making it absolutley beautiful in the process. It was difficult to narrow my interest to one thing enough to begin my journey into the art, but I am very glad I did.
I currently spin fire staff and I also eat fire during performances. In the short time I have spent with both props, it's amazing to see how much you have to learn! Not only are there "technical" tricks to learn, but there are also all these amazing people around you that teach you some amazing things. The fire flow community has given me so much. Not only in knowledge of the art itself, but also the people it has brought into my life. Fire is a live element- it's powerful, it grows, breathes, evolves- the same can be said of the people around it. The flow community really gives you a sense of power and confidence, but also discipline and appreciation.
Samantha Veller, is 22 years old and raised in Indiana, and like every Indiana girl she enjoys fishing, camping, hiking, and shooting. When introduced to flow arts for the first time at age 19 she instantly fell in love, and it quickly became an addiction that inspired her to become a professional. If she is not spinning in free time then most likely you will find Sami drawing, playing the piano, walking the dog, or spending time with family and friends. She is looking forward to meeting more people in the flow community and continuing to share her love for the flow arts as this beautiful journey we call life continues on.
